  • going along with the majority because we do not know how to behave in that situation- explained by informational social influence

  • temporarily adopting the behaviours of a role model or group- can be seen as short-term social influence

  normative social influence- compliance because of the need to fit in a group

  informational social influence- conformity because we do not know how to behave, others provide this information so we adopt their believes and behaviours
