Development is hard to measure as there are many different components and living factors.
Some countries have barriers when it comes to development and progression. These barriers factor in:
Economic terms e.g. types of trade
Social terms e.g. impact of little education
Environmental terms e.g. changing climate
The Human Development Index (HDI) measures the average achievements in three basic dimensions of human development: a long and healthy life, access to knowledge and a decent standard of living.
IGO stands for Inter-Governmental Organisations which are large and expensive scheme which involve oversea loans with banks and agencies from all different countries working together.
NGO stands for Non-Governmental organisations which involve charities and universities.
The CorruptionPerceptionIndex uses a scale from 100 (honest) to 0 (highly corrupt). In corrupt countries invested money is likely used to bribe officials, or purchase weapons.
