  • to work out a fraction of an amount, we firstly divide the number by the denominator and x our answer by our numerator
  • To work out best buy, we have to figure out how much each option is for only 1 of them. then, we do the price / quantity to give us our decimal in order to evaluate which is cheapest.

  • When sharing ratio, we add the two numbers in the ratio together and then divide them by the integer for example:
    share £20 in the ratio of 2:3.
