Visible light and colour

• When the white light reflects onto the glass prism, it creates a spectrum.

  
• The shorter the wavelength, the longer it takes to pass through the glass.
• Different colours of light have different wavelengths.
• Violet has the shortest wavelength.
• The primary colours of light are: red, green and blue.

  
• The secondary colours of light are: magenta, cyan and yellow.
