zimbardo weaknesses

• bbc prison study - reicher & haslam - they decided to work together (the prisoners and guards) and created rules to abide by. - they did not confomr to the hard social roles he found
• Unethical – they did not leave the state they entered people who left were traumatised crying and screaming uncontrollably – however  There was no ethics in this time
• Experimenter bias – he created and conducted the study himself
