  • THE NATURAL FREEDOM OF MAN
    •It is human nature to be free to think, to decide, to dream, to long, to love, to be angry, and to act.
    •Freedom of mind is a power of God's grace gifted to man so that he can choose to obey or disobey His commandments.
    •Man's freedom to decide is part of his spiritual nature.
    •True freedom must be demonstrated based on the highest and broadest law — to love God and neighbor.
  • THE RESPONSIBLE FREEDOM
    •Freedom must be used responsibly.
    •No one can exercise freedom to decide and act but oneself(yourself).
    •Freedom is not absolute
  • INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL FREEDOM
  • Internal Freedom
    -it is often suppressed by one's own doubts, ignorance, and emotions that prevent one from being human.
    -it is having the ability to be self sufficient, accepting one's own strengths or weaknesses and abilities stand up for what is right and good.
  • External Freedom
    -it is important to man as a social being.
    -it is in accordance with the law and standards of camaraderie and patriotism.
  • THE PURPOSE OF FREEDOM IS FOR LOVE
    •The man who is not free within himself is not free to love his neighbor. And when he doesn't love, he will not be truly free.
    •Love is a responsibility to others.
    •People who lack freedom and are unable to accept associated responsibility often face psychological problems.
  • CHARACTERISTICS OF YOUTH WITH RESPONSIBLE INDEPENDENCE
    Free to act beyond self -interest.
    Free to act and responsible for any consequences of the act.
    Free to decide but do it wisely.
    Free to develop identity and able to criticize one's own thoughts, feelings and actions.
