Types of Forces

• Normal – force that stops objects falling through each other
• Upthrust – buoyancy, force that stops objects sinking
• Electrostatic Force – has to do with charges such as protons or electrons
• Tension – pulling apart forces
• What are the 5 forces on a moving car?

  Friction, Normal, Weight, Thrust, Air Resistance
• Friction always acts in the opposite direction to which an object is moving or trying to move.
