What happens in the Childhood stage after the baby is born?
After the child is born, the brain develops many neural connections (approximately 1,000 per second).
When the baby is born its ability to see clearly is limited . By the time its 5 months old , the new synapses allow it to see in 3D and it will have gained the ability to see in colours as well. Around the age of 3 , the density of synapses in the prefrontal cortex is at its peak. This allows the child to start to use their past experiences to understand their present.
