A circuit is simply a closed loop through which charges can continuously move.
Series Circuit
It is a circuit where the bulbs are connected in one path. If one of the bulbs is busted or removed, the remaining light bulbs will not light up anymore.
Parallel Circuit
It is a circuit where the bulbs are connected in two or more pathways. If one of the bulbs is busted or removed, theremaining light bulbs will still light up.
Circuit breakers
Breakers are installed in an electrical panel (breaker box).
The breaker will monitor the circuit and in the event of a complication such as an overload, the breaker will immediately shut off that circuit.
fuses
The fuse breaks the circuit if a fault in an appliance causes too much current to flow.
This protects the wiring and the appliance if something goes wrong.
earthing
It is used to protect you from an electric shock.
It prevents damage to electrical appliances and devices by preventing excessive current from running through the circuit.
double insulation
All the electrical wiring in a house is insulated by a layer of rubber or plastic so that the bare wire is not exposed.
In many of these appliances there is another second layer of insulation as a buffer in case the first layer fails.
residual current device
The device is used to detect if any current flows from the circuit to the earth through a person and then break the circuit to stop the current flowing before it causes any electric shock.
An inverter is a device that controls the frequency of the incoming electrical current that goes to the appliance, thus consuming less electricity.
