Funerals

• 3 sections to a funeral:

  1. The Vigil - Coffin is brought to the Church before the funeral and priest meets with the mourners
  2. Requiem Mass - Homily about the dead person
  3. Commital - Body is buried
• Purpose of a funeral:

  For people to pray for the soul of the dead person to go onto eternal life with God, as they believe death is not the end.
