Had great intellectual abilities, a photographic memory, and strong perseverance.
Immersed in Hadith studies at age 11, mastering the knowledge of Muhadditheen (traditionists).
Traveled to Makkah, performed Hajj, and journeyed to Islamic learning centers.
Stayed in Basra for 4-5 years, Hijaz for six years, and also traveled to Egypt, Kufa, and Baghdad.
Devoted, rigorous in religious duties, lived frugally, and was known for his good character.
Hadith was his life's passion; he compiled Sahih Al-Bukhari, one of the most authentic Hadith collections.
