  • Studied Hadith in Balkh from age 15 and traveled widely for knowledge.
  • Settled in Egypt but later moved to Damascus, where he found people with incorrect views about Hazrat Ali.
  • Compiled a book on the merits of Hazrat Ali to educate people.
  • Recognized as the leading traditionist of his time.
