• What is thinking distance?

  The distance traveled by a vehicle while the driver reacts to a situation e.g. speed and reaction time (alcohol, drugs, tiredness)
• What is breaking distance?

  The distance it takes to stop under braking force e.g. speed, weather, tyre conditions, brake conditions
• How is stopping distance calculated?

  Stopping Distance = Thinking + Braking
