Higher Brain Centres

• Higher Brain Centres:

  • blood pressure are mediated via the vasomotor centre
  • however higher brain centres can modify these reflexes e.g. cortex, hypothalamus, limbic system can all affect cardiac and vascular function by communicating with the VMC and CI and CI centres
