    • What did physicians do?
      Much the same, though dissections had become legalised and they were taught new ideas about anatomy and medical chemistry.
    • What did surgeons do?
      They continued to carry out simple operations, however now they had to have a license to practice medicine, dissections were allowed and they were able to learn from detailed drawings of the body called fugitive sheets.
    • What were detailed drawings of the body called?
      Fugitive sheets,
    • What did Apothecaries do?
      Much the same, although now they had many more ingredients and recipes from the New World and they too had to have a license to trade.
    • What did Wise women do?
      Much the same, but faced more suspicion as formal medicine grew and fears of witchcraft increased.
