• Separation of Powers - Powers are seperatied between three branches of government
• Legislative Branch - the lawmaking body
• Executive Branch - the body responsible for enforcing laws
• Judicial Branch - the body that interprets laws
• Checks and Balances - the system that ensures one branch doesn't have too muhch power over the other branches
• Veto - to reject a decision/vote
• Judicial Review - a power of the Judicial Branch that allows them to deem something unconstitutional
