Christian responses

• As with adherents to other faiths, Christians have been given the right to express their religious beliefs and views in British society
• It is not an absolute right
• If expression would be harmful to others, would cause a breach of the peace or express racial or religious hatred that would be a breach of the law
• Christians may express their religious beliefs in a number of ways, but there may be a problem when the right to express religious beliefs or views clashes with other legislation- this has been demonstrated in the UK with a number of recent court cases
