(WHMIS) is a comprehensive system for providing health and
safety information for chemicals in the workplace
Flame: fire hazard and can ignite easily.
Precautions:
keep products away from heat, hot surfaces, or open flames
do not smoke in close proximity
use only in well-ventilated areas
Corrosion: can damage or destroy metals. It can cause bodily damage including burns, scarring, vision loss, etc.
Precautions:
wear protective equipment
inspect for leaks or damages
wash your hand thoroughly
NEVER mix with hot water
Biohazardous Infectious Materials: can cause infection or disease in humans or animals.
Precautions:
only handled by workers who have received speciliazed training
use ultraviolet light for disinfection
Exclamation Mark: cause less serious health effects (eye irritation, skin allergy reactions, etc.). Also indicates the substance may damage the ozone layer.
