The pluperfect

• it's the 'past tense of the past tense'

  use it to describe when/before something else happened

  eg I had eaten a pizza (before/after something else)
• sentence structure:

  SUBJECT -> IMPERFECT FORM OF SEIN OR HABEN -> EXTRA INFO-> PAST PARTICIPLE
