Criminal Courts

• A suspect is innocent until proven guilty (Woolmington's Golden Thread -> they said that prosecution have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the suspect is guilty)
• All criminal cases start in a Magistrates Court with an Early Admirative Hearing (EAH)
• In an early administrative hearing

  • D applies for legal aid (if eligible)
  • A pre-sentence report can be requested
  • Medical reports can be collected
  • Decisions surrounding if D will be allowed bail
