heat and temp

• we use unit joules for heat
• we use a calorimeter or joules meter to measure heat
• heat is the total kinetic and potential energy contained in molecules in that object
• the flow of heat is from hot to cold, so the hotter the object, the faster the flow of heat
• heat makes matter expand when hot eacsue they need more space for the molecules to move around
• in temp we use the unit kelvin
• we use a thermometer to measure temperature
• temp is the average kinetic energy in molecules of a substance
• flow of temperature is that it rises when heated and falls when cooled down
• the greater the mass an object has the more heat it contains
• temperature also makes matter expand when hot and contract when cold
• heat :energy transferred from one object to another that are at diffrent teperature
