Issues with multiculturalism

• Leaves little scope for society to be held together - dangerous as it lacks cohesion
• A danger that immigrant communities that flourish can be increasingly isolated and subject to popular discrimination
• Assumes that no single culture can claim to be the best
• What is there a multicultural temptation to say?

  one's own beliefs are not inherently superior to those of others but there is a religious temptation to say just the opposite
