Redox Titration

• End-point indicators are used to detect the end-point of redox reactions.
• Titration 1 - Manganate VII - purple colour - always in burette
• For Manganate an excess of sulfuric acid is added to provide the H+ ions required to reduce MnO4-
• Ratio for Burette to Conical Flask For manganate is 1:5
• A lower concentration of MnO4- is added as it increases volume titre and reduces percentage uncertainty
