• stresemann was chancellor from october 1923 to may 1924
• Locarno pact (1925)

  Britain, France , Italy and Belgium agreed to respect the existing borders

  • this began a period of improved relations and cooperation ('the Lacarno honeymoon)
• League of nations (1926)

  aimed to promote peace

  • Initials Germany wasn't allowed to join, but this changed and Germans was given a permanent seat on the Security council
• Kellogg - Briand pact (1928)

  Germany signed the pact with 64 other nations who all agreed to solve international disputes peacefully

  • the pact farther improved international trust in Germany, while confirming its Status as a great power
