Hemodynamic disorder

Cards (9)

  • Hyperemia
    • Active process in which arteriolar dilation leads to increased blood flow
  • Affected tissues turn red - erythema
  • Acute Appendicitis
ETIOLOGY: overt luminal obstruction; 50-80% due to fecalith
  • Acute Appendicitis —PATHOGENESIS: initiated by progressive increases in intraluminal pressure – compromise blood flow – overt luminal obstruction
  • Chronic Passive Congestion (CPC) of the Lungs
    Etiology: Left-sided heart failure
  • Thrombosis
    • Pathologic counterpart of hemostasis
  • Blood clot (thrombus) formation in an intact blood vessel— thrombosis
  • Most common is detached thrombus – thromboembolus
  • Embolus — Detached intravascular solid, liquid or gaseous mass, carried by blood to a site distant from its point of origin
