  • limbic system- an area of the brain that plays a key role in emotional processing and is the main area of the brain associated with aggression, in particular the amygdala is associated with aggression
  • Serotonin- is a neurotransmitter associated with aggression, some studies suggest low serotonin levels increase aggression and that higher serotonin levels decrease aggression.
  • amygdala- said to be inhibitory of aggressive behaviour
