  • The low platelets create clotting issues, the low neutrophils means there is a reduced immune system which means the animal is susceptible to spontaneous infections. Low erythrocytes leads to anemia.
    • May need prophylactic antibiotics to support the immune system until neutrophil levels increase
    Neutrophils are the first cell to decrease in pancytopenia and hence spontaneous infections are likely to be one of the earlier signs.
