  • Another limitation of Milgram’s research into obedience is that it lacks temporal validity. This is evident as the study was conducted in the 1960’s which may emphasise the lack of validity as since the sixties there have been various cultural changes in western society conveying that the findings of this study make lack validity in the modern day as variables such as access to the internet and greater interest into psychology which were not available in the sixties may have changed the human cognition in response to obedience.
