• Research support – Sheridan and king – Milgram style experiment used puppies instead of learners – similar results displayed – 13 male and female participants – 100% of females were fully obedient and only 54% of males were fully obedient.
• Cross cultural research support Dutch replication of mailgrams research – ordered to say stressful things in an interview to someone desperate for a job – 90% of participants obeyed – did proximity study as well when person giving orders not in proximity obedience dramatically fell – suggests that Milgram’s findings are not limited to Americans but are valid across cultures and apply to women.
