    > Katherine Parr looked after Elizabeth and made sure that the
    princess was taught a Protestant-themed education. For example,
    Elizabeth translated Katherine Parr’s essay, ‘Prayers and Meditations’,
    into Latin, Italian and French. As a result, Elizabeth was a firm Protestant: her Religious Settlement of 1559 made England more
    Protestant than Catholic.

    at age 8 she declared ‘I will never marry’.
