General Harmony

• Diatonic means in a major or minor key
• Chromatic means it uses notes not belonging to the scale of the key the music is in. Opposite of diatonic and moving in semitones
• Consonant harmony is when the notes sound pleasing together
• Dissonant harmony is when the notes sound clashing together
