Anaerobic Respiration

• Differences in anaerobic respiration in animals and yeast cells include; yeast produces ethanol but animals produce lactic acid. Both produce less energy.
• Lactic acid fermentation occurs when there isn't enough oxygen to complete aerobic respiration, so it produces less ATP than aerobic respiration.
• Anaerobic respiration is the process by which cells produce energy without oxygen
• ATP stands for adenosine triphosphate, which is a molecule that is used to store energy in cells.
• Breathing is a mechanical process of taking fresh air into the lungs and removing carbon dioxide from the lungs.
