A value system is a collection of values, norms, traditions and customs that are agreed upon and shared by a specific society
"high culture" is the culture of the upper class, which is often associated with the arts and intellectual pursuits
mass/popular culture is the culture that is enjoyed by the majority of the population and is mass-produced for mass consumption.
eg. pop music, hollywood films, etc
norms are rules that govern what behavior is considered normal in different social situations
roles are the behavior expected from those who occupy a particular status
