• What are descriptive norms?

  • a persons perception of how often others engage in a behaviour (e.g. How much peers drink or smoke)
• What are injunctive norms?

  • a person’s perception of how much their peers approve of a behaviour (e.g. whether drinking is seen as acceptable)
