Primary Cell

• Based on cell reaction which are not reversible
• Once cell reaction is complete, cell is discharged and cannot be recharged again
• Example : Weston Cd cell, Leclanche (dry) cell
• When daniel cell or dry cell is allowed to recharge Zn2+ to Zn does not take place but evolution of H2 gas takes place
