    Target: TNF-a
    Action: Antagonist
  • MOA - Infliximab
    Binds to TNF-a -> stops TNF-a from interacting with receptors ->
    • decreases local & systemic pro-inflammatory cytokines
    • decreased lymphocyte & leukocyte migration to sites of inflammation
    • induces apoptosis of TNF producing cells
    • decreases endothelial adhesion molecules
    • decreases acute-phase proteins
  • What are the indications of infliximab?
    Crohn's
    Ulcerative colitis
    Rheumatoid arthritis
  • What are the side effects of infliximab?
    Anaemia
    Diarrhoea
    Nausea
