    • What are the parts of the adrenal gland called?
      the adrenal cortex and adrenal medulla
    • What does the adrenal cortex do?
      produces cortisol in response to stress, if cortisol is low this can lead to low blood pressure, poor immune function and poor stress response.
    • What does the adrenal medulla do?
      releases adrenaline and noradrenalin which prepare the body for fight-or-flight.
