    • Anti-Semitic education - pupils were taught to be hostile to Jews and teachers humiliated Jewish children.
    • Nuremberg Laws - Jews were no longer regarded as citizens. It became illegal for Jews to marry or have sexual contact with Germans. Jews were forbidden to join the army.
    • All written work by Jewish authors were burned
    • 9th - 10th Nov 1938 - Kristallnacht - organised attacks throughout Germany. Jewish synagogues were burned down and shops were attacked.
    • SS death squads patrolling in Eastern Europe from 1939 that killed Jews in large numbers. Engaged in mass shooting of Jewish men, women, and children in eastern Europe.
    • Boycott of Jewish shops. SA officers stood outside shops to intimidate customers.
