RE as an argument for gods existance.

• Building a cumulative case - is the idea that all the arguments for the existance of god can work together to prove the existence of god, even if induvidually the conclusions can be challanged.
• Anthony Flew - rejects building a cumulative case. 10 leaky buckets dont make a good one. 10 deeply flawed arguments do not create a good one.
• The RE argument it dependant on a prior probability of gods existance.
• Buber - believers often claim that their experiance is so real it means no justification is required.
• Caroline franks davis - all arguments for/against god are balanced, RE reports tip the scales in favor of gods existance.
• Schleiermacher: romantic, wants to support RE. Argues that our view of truth comes directly from our personal feelings and experiences of the world. The essence of religion is in out personal experiances. Feeling is just as importnt as logic.
