• vertebrae: are the bony structure units of the spinal column.
• cervical vertebrae: first set of seven vertebrae that form the neck.
• thoracic vertebrae: make up the second set of 12 vertebrae.
• lumber vertebrae: third set of 5 vertebrae form the lower back.
• sacrum: the slightly curved, triangular-shaped bone near the base of spine that forms the lower portion of the back.
• coccyx: aka tailbone, forms the end of the spine.
