CIRULATORY SYSTEM

• Arteries carries oxygen-rich blood from our heart
• the heart is a hollow muscular organ located in the chest. It is about the size of a clenched fist
• the largest and the strongest chamber of the heart is the left ventricle
• the four chambers of heart are right and left atrium and right and left ventricle
• the right atrium receives the deoxygenated blood from the body through the veins and pumps it to the lungs for gas
• Valaves are flaps of muscles found between the chambers
• The tricuspid valves is between the right atrium and right ventricle
• the biscuspid or mitral valve is between the left atrium and left ventricle
• The Pulmonary Circulation is the movement of deoxygenated blood from our heart to lungs.
• The veins carries the deoxygenated blood back to the heart
• The other term for Red Blood Cells are Erythrocytes
• The red blood cells are red since they are made of oxygen
• White blood cells are considered being the soldier of the body because they protect our body and fight the viruses and germs inside our body
• The other term of white blood cells is leukocytes
• The other term of Platelets is Thrombocytes
• The Platelets job is to cover up the wounded area with their blood cloth.
• Plasma is the liquid part of the blood which is straw yellow in color.
• The main role of Plasma is to take nutrients, hormones and proteins to the parts of the body that needs it.
• The smallest blood vessel is the Cappilaries.
• Both red blood cells and white blood cells are produce in the bone narrow.
• Blood vessels have three types; Arteries, Vein and Capillaries.
