Evaluating Spoken Text

• Text - a piece of writing or speech (written or spoken)
• Spoken texts - Interaction is made up of a series of verbal utterances like questions, replies, comments, and suggestions. Includes dialogues, oral stories, interview, monologues, phone conversation, discussions, role plays, and any spoken language.
• Words - Spoken text use sounds which convey meaning
• Grammar - spoken texts follow rules of how words are used in a language
• Speech writing - it is the art of writing for public presentation
• Characteristics or features of a spoken text:
