Specialised cells

• Root hair cell- extract nutrients and water from soil, no chloroplasts,long+thin=more surface area
• Sperm cell- tail to move, mitochondria for energy, streamline shape
• Red blood cell- transport oxygen around the body, bio cane shape to move more oxygen
• Palisade cells - collect energy from sunlight and use it to make glucose. Large surface area, lots of chloroplast, oblong shape
• Muscle cell - covered in mitochondria, mitochondria for energy to move joints and bones.
• Nerve cell - moves electrical info around body, thin, nerve ending, myelin
• Ciliated cell - beat in Rhythm to move mucus, dust + egg cell, thin hairs to push obstructions away
• egg cell- has 1/2 DNA, meets sperm to make a baby, lots of nutrients + yolk droplets
• White blood cell - fight of diseases, shaped to capture and break diseases
