The new recruit

• You would be sent from the recruiting office to the barracks to the guardhouse to the stores( to get equipment) to training to war
• Equipment list:

  • service cap/badge
  • digging tool
  • water bottle carrier
  • respirator and gas mask
  • bayonet
  • identity tag
  • rifle
  • wooly cap/ socks/ coat
  • ammo
  • haversack with rations, paybook, soap etc
