• The bible is a library of 73 books, categorised into the Old and New Testaments.
• The bible is a collection of God.
• The bible is like a story of God’s relationship with the people He has called to Himself.
• The Bible points us towards Jesus Christ and the Mystery of Salvation for Mankind.
• Books in the Bible were written by the people. of God, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
• Gospel means “Good news”
• We all are sinners, inherited with original sins as a result from the fall in the Garden of Eden.
• The consequence of sin is death.
• Jesus died for us in order to free us from the bondage of sins; he redeem our freedom.
• We can be saved through our faith in Christ.
• God saved sinful humans from eternal separation (ie death) through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
• Matthew (Jews) -> Mark (Non-Jews like Gentiles) -> Luke (Gentiles especially the lowly) -> John (educated audience)
• Angel Gabriel is an angel who serves as a messenger of God to certain people.
• Angel Gabriel assists, guides and inspires the people to follow the will of God.
• Angel Gabriel is an archangel.
• The Holy Spirit will come on you, and God’s power will rest upon you. For this reason the holy child will be called the Son of God.
• Jesus is fully human and fully divine.
• Jesus is conceived by the Holy Spirit for His divinity and Son of God.

• Joseph is a Carpenter. He is the descendants of Jacob and Kind David. His hometown is at Bethlehem and he lives at Nazareth Galilee. He was engaged with Mary.
• Joseph and Mary were betrothed (engaged) ie promised to marry one another publicly, but not yet married.
• Unlike the engagements nowadays (which could be easy to make or to break), betrothal was as binding and official as the marriage itself back in the days.
• Usually, the groom has to wait until he had saved up enough money/ built a living place to marry his wife.
• Joseph was a man who always did what was right, but he did not want to disgrace Mary publicly.
• Before the Angel appeared, Joseph seemed to believe that Mary had cheated on him, but he loved her and decided to spare her the worst of the consequences.
• Despite his heartbreak, he is still acting what was in Marg’s best interest.
• Joseph demonstrated what true love is: seeking what is best for someone else, desiring that someone else have what they need, and giving up and sacrificing oneself.
• “Protector of the Holy Family”: righteous, bold, loving and faithful.
• Joseph was also Man of Silence and Action. The Bible didn’t record any words he spoke. He listened attentively to God and obeyed God’s commands: when he faced dilemma about his engagement, when finding places for Mary!s labour, when escaping to Egypt, when returning to Nazareth.
• Mary hurried off to a town in the hill country of Jude’s.
• Long ride -> to assist and help her much older cousin when she herself was pregnant too -> stayed for 3 months until the birth of John the Baptist, not just a short visit
• Hurried off -> prompted by the Holy Spirit with joy -> grace received from God ignited Mary!s heart for charity
