  • There are different ways to scroll through a worksheet: the arrow keys, the scroll bars, or the mouse.
  • To select one cell, click any cell or press the arrow key.
  • To select one window up or down, press the SHIFT key while dragging the scrollbar.
  • To select a large part, press CTRL + Right Arrow Key.
  • To select the last row of the cell, press CTRL + Down Arrow Key.
  • To select all cells, click the select all button.
  • To select non-adjacent cells, click the first cell, then press and hold down CTRL while clicking the other cell that you would like to select.
  • To scroll and zoom to view the worksheet, click the name box and then type the cell address that you want to go to.
  • To cancel selection, enter any character in a cell.
  • Entering data in a worksheet is different from entering data or text in word processing.
  • To enter data in a cell, click the cell where you want to enter data.
  • To separate parts of the date, use a slash or a hyphen.
  • To enter the date today, press CTRL + ; (semicolon).
  • To enter a time based on the 12-hour clock, type a space then a (for AM) or p (for PM) after the time.
  • To enter the current time today, press CTRL + SHIFT + : (colon).
  • To enter data using the formula bar, double click or press F2 to select the cell you would like to correct.
  • To correct an entry mistake, select the cells that you want to format.
  • On the Home tab, in the Alignment group, click Wrap Text.
  • While typing, you can use ALT+ENTER to go to the next line.
  • Wrap text automatically.
