Microscopy

• microscopes let us see things we can't see with the naked eye
• light microscopes use light and lenses to form an image of a specimen and magnify it
• electron microscopes use electrons instead of light to form an image. They have a much higher magnification than light microscopes
• the purpose of the fine adjustment knob on a light microscope is to adjust the magnification to make it focus until the image of the slide appears
• electron microscopes have a higher solution and a higher magnification than light magnification
