  • Free Recall:
    Retrieving information without any cues or prompts. For example, trying to remember a list of words you learned earlier without any hints.
  • Recognition:

    Identifying the correct information from a set of options. Such as recognizing a familiar face in a crowd.
  • Relearning:

    Re-acquiring knowledge that had been previously learned and forgotten. This process is often faster than the initial learning and shows that some memory of the material was retained.
  • Cued recall 

    refers to retrieving information from long-term memory using clues or cues. E.g its on the tip of your tounge and then someone gives you a clue/cue and you remember it.
  • Capacity- is a measure of how much;the amount of information that can be held in a memory store.
  • Coding- refers to the format in which information is stored in the various memory stores.
