Digestive enzymes

• Lipids are broken down by lipase enzymes, and converted into glycerol and fatty acids. 
• Proteins are broken down by a group of enzymes called proteases into individual monomers called amino acids. 
• Example of protease enzymes : pepsin , trypsin
• Stomach acid has a pH of 2
• Bile is produced in the liver stored in the gallbladder and neutralises acid in the small intestine.
• enzymes - biological catalysts that speed up chemical reactions.
• Enzyme rate of reaction depends on - Enzyme temperature , Enzyme pH.
