Risalah Nubuwwah

• Risalah is the belief in messengers that Allah sent to guide humanity about the right way to live
• Messengers are important because:

  • Foundation of faith for both Sunni and Shia
  • Represents how Allah communicates with his people
  • Perfect role models
  • Shows common heritage between Abrahamic faiths
• What Prophet Adam taught:

  • Always follow Gods commands
  • Dont let satan tempt you
  • Allah is merciful
• What Prophet Ibrahim/ Prophet Isma'il taught:

  • Put Allah above all else in your life
  • Be prepared to sacrifice for your faith
  • Always follow Gods commands
• What Prophet Musa taught:

  • Allah will reward those who suffer
  • Allah will punish those who disobey
  • Good will always overcome evil
• What Prophet Dawud taught:

  • God will protect those who need it
  • Good will always overcome evil
  • Allah will reward those who have faith in him
• What Prophet Isa taught:

  • Allah has no direct descendants
  • Allah will not let you suffer unnecessarily
  • Allah is omnibenevolent and will help his people by sending messengers
• What Prophet Muhammed taught:

  • Allah has sent a role model for all to follow
  • Allahs unchanged words are final
  • Other messages have been changed over time
